“Then I said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “The work is extensive and spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall. 20 Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!”—Nehemiah 4:19, 20
Nehemiah warned the Israelites who were rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, concerning the forces working to undermine their work, people who were already established in the land who didn’t want their lives upset by these Godly people—the Israelites–coming into their land. He knew they would have to fight to rebuild their nation. He gave instructions: When the sound of the trumpet is heard it will indicate a point of attack when all must drop their particular task, and rally to the trumpet call to defeat the enemy at the point of attack.
And so it is today. There is nothing new under the sun. The trumpet call summons us to support President Trump as he is being attacked by those established in government who don’t want their cadre of corruption exposed and swept clean by an outsider who unbeknownst to them, has demonstrated the anointing of God to establish righteousness and justice once again in our nation.
This is not about Donald Trump; it’s about the preservation of liberty and our Republic. We must set aside our petty partisan thinking, and stand together as one. Regardless of what one may think of Trump’s personality, we must all join forces against a corrupt government, unlike any in the annals of American history.
If the other Republican candidates were truly committed to “America First,” they would shut down their campaigns immediately, and show their unflinching support for Donald Trump simply because he is the point of the spear against tyrannical forces seeking to establish an authoritarian government that will control every area of American life. That’s where the trumpet is sounding. That’s where we must all rally.
After this enemy is defeated, then we can go back to our internal squabbles, but until then, we must join ranks and stand strong against the most demonically driven government this nation has ever known.
First of all, we must understand that as Christians, we need to look at this with spiritual vision, beyond what we see in the natural to understand how God is working in the spiritual realm, and then we must cooperate with God to help His agenda advance. It is as Lincoln once said when he was asked if God was on the side of the Union. He said he wasn’t so much concerned about what side God was on, but he was more concerned about getting on God’s side. That must be our perspective.
The charge to us is the very same charge Ben Franklin expressed to Mrs. Powell when she asked him what was given, “A republic Madam, if you can keep it.” Let’s demonstrate our love for our country and our posterity by running to the sound of the trumpet. We will win!
