Cuomo’s Duplicitous Governance

Having failed to get his abortion expansion act passed by the Senate as part of his “Women’s Equality Act” several years ago, Governor Cuomo is now trying to attach this provision to the state budget. I guess he hasn’t gotten the memo that this nation is once again respecting the sanctity of life, and we are no longer going to sanction the sacrifice of children in the name of women’s rights. Fortunately, Senate Finance Committee Chair Cathy Young (R-Olean) assured us at our recent New York CPAC Conference that the Senate will once again stop this assault on the most vulnerable, (over half of which are “women”). But that’s not all. He also has included, according to New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, a so-called “equal rights” amendment that could allow courts to read “transgender rights” into the New York Constitution, and a damaging bill that could subject churches and other institutions to frivolous lawsuits. Thank God for the watchdogs who keep us informed of the duplicitous attempts of this Governor. Every responsible New Yorker needs to contact their legislators and make their voices heard, or “we the people” will be hoodwinked once again.

Spiritual State of the Union 2018

“Where the righteous rule the people rejoice; when the wicked are in power the people groan.”—Proverbs 29:2

One year ago, Donald J. Trump was inaugurated into office and took his position as the 45th President of the United States. In a previous article I explained how Trump was a type of a King Cyrus who was called by God to lead the people of Israel to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, though he was not himself a believer. It has always been in God’s nature to select the most unlikely people to advance His purposes, as He did throughout the Bible and throughout American history.

DACA: A Case for Justice and Mercy

DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) is an issue that calls for justice and mercy.

Justice demands that we honor and abide by laws duly established. Our immigration laws must be enforced. We are a nation of laws and not of men (or women). DACA was unconstitutional, and it therefore must be corrected or nullified.

The consequences of correcting or eliminating DACA is that 800,000 “Dreamers” would be deported. That’s where mercy comes into the picture. Once we have re-established the rule of law we can then look at the negative consequences of the correction, and choose to have mercy on those Dreamers who desire to assimilate into American culture, and have not demonstrated criminal behavior. Having mercy on Dreamers means providing them with legal permanent residency, and perhaps even a path to citizenship if they would be willing to serve in the Armed Forces or in some other capacity that benefits the people.

It would be injustice to those who have obeyed the rules to enter into our country legally, to give simple and free amnesty to Dreamers. And yes, they will have to suffer some consequences for the sins of their parents to affirm the rule of law and emphasize that not deporting them-which justice would dictate-is an act of mercy.

Remaining in the U.S. is not an entitlement regardless of how long they have lived here. When it comes to DACA we must find a reasonable way to exercise both justice and mercy in the right balance.

Today I want to speak to you about the current events we witnessed played out in Charlottesville, and similar
events around the country.

One might first ask, “How is it that in 2017 we’re still seeing these displays of violence, bigotry and hatred?”
You would think that if human beings were around for 200,000 years as the evolutionists tell us that we would
at least, by now, have learned to live in peace with each other. These events are just one proof against
evolution; human nature does not change.

Yes, we can advance in knowledge and technology, but the heart of man does not advance.
